The lights are beginning to be hung on trees outside, holiday music greets us in the shops, and plans are being made for the winter holidays. It is a time of anticipation, preparation, and for many people stress and anxiety.
During the next two weeks, Gently Being will be sharing some ideas and tips for making your holidays a time for joy and reflection. One thing to try to remember is you do not have to be perfect. When beginning a mindfulness practice, many people can put unnecessary strain on themselves by feeling inadequate in their practice or that they are not doing it "right". Each and every time we bring our awareness to the present moment with non-judgement our practice grows and you are living a mindful life.
